Description

Before July 2009, DC Water had exclusively used the design-bid-build project delivery method for its capital projects. Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the process fallowed to allow for alternative delivery methods
  • Discuss the different organization format considered to implement the program
  • Explain how elements of technical proposal and collaboration meetings that reduce risk and increase value are incorporated in the contract documents
  • Explain the innovative finanacing methods pioneered by DC Water to help finance a portion of Clean rivers and preserve intergeneration fairness

Speaker(s):

  • Moussa Wone, Ph.D., P.E., DBIA, Manager Design, CSO (LTCP), DC Water and Sewer Authority
