One of the greatest myths about Design-Build project delivery is that it compromises the design process. This is far from the truth. However, to achieve design excellence in Design-Build, one must understand the difference between Design-Build done wrong, and Design Build done right, and then build the team and implement the strategies to achieve the desired outcomes.
The presentation will focus on the concept of achieving Design Excellence through the Design-Build, with discussions on understanding the Owners goals, building the right team, and executing the right strategies in procurement, contracts and project execution. Case studies will be presented that demonstrate award winning designs delivered through Design-Build project delivery, including projects that have won the DBIA’s prestigious Project of the Year Award, and Design Excellence awards. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
