Does increased BIM use adoption improve project performance? What role does Project Execution Planning (PEP) have in the successful implementation of BIM on a project? This session shares the results of a study that examined the impact of BIM use adoption and PEP on project performance, across a range of project delivery methods. Leveraging data from over 200 building projects, the presentation will highlight specific BIM uses and combinations of uses that were commonly found on projects with improved cost, schedule and quality performance. We will also discuss the role of the project delivery system, including the timing of contractor involvement, procurement method and contract type, as well as PEP participation, to provide recommendations for increasing BIM use adoption on construction projects.
To recognize which BIM uses have the highest value to project owners.
To understand how to structure the project team to increase BIM use adoption.
Learn about processing the DATA.
