Description

Halton Health Services (HHS) manages three Healthcare facilities of New Oakville Hospital (NOH), Milton District Hospital (MDH) and Georgetown Hospital. Stantec has been the clients Planning, Design and Compliance (PDC) consultant assisting HHS Build NOH and MDH within the Public, Private, Partnership (PPP) procurement model. This presentation will touch upon experiences, challenges and lessons learned of NOH project. We will assess all different parts of the PPP process and provide the challaneges and the lessons learned.

Learning Objectives:

  • Clear understanding of a "Public, Private, Partnership” procurement models
  • Lessons learned on all sections of the PPP process
  • Major differences and issues between Design Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) and Design, Build, Finance (DBF) procurement models and its impact on PSOS preparation
  • The progress/move from relaxed PSOS that allows for more innovation versus prescriptive PSOS to enforce and get what the client wants.
