Project Manager, Jacobs

Ted has over 37 years of facilities planning, design, construction and maintenance experience in leadership roles with and for owners, with Jacobs the last 21 years representing owners on large capital projects, including four hospitals, two commercial offices, a correctional facility and a courthouse. He is a registered professional engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, is a member of DBIA, CMAA and ASHE, and has been a Certified Construction Manager and Certified Professional Contract Manager. Teds career started in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, serving 7 years active-duty followed by 15 years in the Reserve, retiring as a Commander.
Ted's role on the project being presented was acting as the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works Project Manager, from beginning to end. As such he led the Design-Build procurement process including creation of scoping documents, the Request For Proposal, evaluation and scoring criteria, and was a member of the selection committee. Post-award, Ted's role continued throughout the design and construction phases in a full-time capacity.
